Ottagono is a true gem in the world of pastry making , where tradition and innovation blend in perfect harmony. Located in Mascalucia , this culinary pearl is inspired by the enchanting scenery between the Etna volcano and the coasts of Catania , presenting authentic masterpieces of Sicilian gastronomy every day.

Founded in 1983 as a simple workshop by brothers Carmelo and Angelo Lo Faro , and subsequently enriched by the skills of their sons, both named Giuseppe in honor of their grandfather, Ottagono has become a shining example of a family business and an essential stop for both the inhabitants of Mascalucia and the province of Catania.

Open to the public every day of the year, Ottagono offers the best of Sicilian cuisine and pastries. The day begins with breakfast , which includes delicious ricotta ravioli, iris and panzerotti, and continues with the hot table full of arancini and other typical Catania specialties. At lunch , our customers can enjoy express dishes and gastronomic specialties at the counter, while dinner is dedicated to our apericena and aperipizza, accompanied by carefully selected cocktails and wines.

The pizzeria offers both table service and take-out, and the pastry shop enchants with a variety of pastries, cannoli, babbà and modern cakes. Don't miss our delicious ice creams, granitas and seasonal specialties such as panettoni, ramette, chiacchere, colombe and zeppole.

The coffee is strictly Illy , a company with which we are part of the "Artisti del gusto" project by virtue of over 30 years of collaboration.

Since May 2021, Ottagono has transformed into a lively urban art center with the pAssaggi project, combining painting, photography, street art and new artistic languages ​​in a unique exhibition to be enjoyed every day while sipping a good coffee or enjoying a freshly baked dessert.
