The Savoia cake is a historical dessert of Sicilian origins, made in honor of the annexation of Sicily to the Kingdom of Italy. Legend has it that it was prepared by the Benedictine nuns of Catania, who created this cake and included Piedmontese hazelnuts among the ingredients, in honor of the House of Savoy. The Savoia cake is made up of layers of biscuit that alternate with a soft and delicious cream made with 3 types of chocolate and hazelnuts; the rum bath will give that extra touch and the glossy glaze will make it elegant and perfect for any occasion! The cake is sent vacuum-packed and has a duration of about 30 days from the time of shipment. It should be kept at room temperature. Weight: about 1 kg (8/10 servings).
