Octagon Music Fest 2023

On September 17, 2023, the beating heart of Mascalucia vibrated to the rhythm of the Ottagono Music Fest, which celebrated a memorable edition in honor of the fortieth anniversary of the Bar Ottagono.

This event, born in 2016, has consolidated its role as a key event in the community, thanks to its ability to revitalize and enhance the streets of the center, transforming them into real open-air cultural salons.

The evening, filled with gratitude to the community that has supported Bar Ottagono for four decades, was masterfully presented by Salvo La Rosa, a highly regarded and well-known figure in the Sicilian television and radio environment. His presence added a touch of professionalism and warmth to the event, acting as a glue between the various acts and the audience.

The festival saw the young and talented Annalaura Princiotta shine on stage, whose voice was able to capture the attention of the audience, transmitting emotion and freshness. Her performance represented the vitality of the new generation of Sicilian artists, and her talent was a symbol of the continuous musical evolution of the island.

To add a touch of lightness and fun, comedian Giuseppe Castiglia entertained the crowd with his biting humor and his ability to transform everyday vicissitudes into moments of pure comedy. With his stage presence and his jokes, he was able to provide smiles and laughter.

The highlight of the evening was the concert by Mario Venuti, who with his guitar and his voice gave an intimate and engaging experience. Venuti, an emblematic figure of Italian music, created a unique atmosphere, in which every note echoed in the streets of Mascalucia, creating a harmonious intertwining between the history of the place and its melodies.
