Photography as an art form. Art as an opportunity to meet.

At Ottagono we presented the fourth photography exhibition of the Biennale “In forma di fotografia” (In the form of photography), organised by pAssaggi X Ottagono.

The protagonist of this new stage is Massimo Privitera with “Threep”, a photography project that will be with Ottagono from September until January 2027, spread across the indoor and outdoor spaces of our venue in Mascalucia.

Opening the evening, Giuseppe A. Lo Faro told the story of how pAssaggi began and developed: a project born from the wish to turn an everyday space into a place able to welcome culture, photography, discussion and new forms of connection.

Also speaking was Emanuele Carpenzano, one of the eight photographers featured in the Biennale, who exhibited his own work in these same spaces a few months ago.

Pippo Pappalardo had the task of guiding us into Massimo Privitera's work, explaining its meanings, suggestions and interpretations with depth and extraordinary expertise, drawing once again on his inexhaustible knowledge of photography and its history.

Before and after the presentation, it was time to get together: a toast with the artists, conversations, questions, shared looks and thoughts.

Because “In forma di fotografia” is not meant to be just a series of exhibitions.

It aims to create moments to stop, observe and meet.
