Passaggi: Matteo Saudino presents “Anime Fragili” and the launch of PASSAGGI | Libreria Aperta is announced
Mascalucia – Yesterday evening saw the presentation of the book “Anime Fragili” (Fragile Souls) by Matteo Saudino, teacher, writer and popular educator, as part of the activities of pAssaggi, a project of artistic cross-pollination developed through art installations, photography exhibitions and cultural events, promoted by the Lo Faro family in Mascalucia.
It was a moment of genuine, lively discussion, a conversation about the fragilities of contemporary society and the role that philosophy continues to play in providing tools for reading and understanding the present. Through dialogue with the audience, Saudino guided those present on a journey that interweaves the great thinkers of the past with the questions and anxieties of people today.
During the evening, Prof. Alessandro Salerno, coordinator of the Passaggi project, announced the launch of a new permanent cultural initiative:
PASSAGGI | Biblioteca Aperta (Open Library)
Books for everyday pauses
The Libreria Aperta (Open Bookshop) is conceived as a free, shared reading space, designed to encourage a spontaneous, everyday relationship with books outside traditional settings. A place open to everyone, where you can stop, read a few pages and put the book back into circulation.
The selection of books is curated by Prof. Salerno, in collaboration with the historic Libreria La Paglia bookshop, and symbolically starts with “Anime Fragili”, the first book in this new cultural journey.
With this new cross-pollination, Passaggi continues its work of spreading culture, broadening the dialogue between the arts, ideas and the public, and strengthening its role as a space open to experimentation and encounter.
