The Rametta is a typical sweet of the Catanese tradition, made above all for All Saints' Day. A biscuit with a soft, intensely cocoa-flavoured centre, entirely covered in an indulgent chocolate glaze and enriched with the flavour of pistachio.
According to Sicilian tradition, during the All Saints' festivities these sweets were given to children as a symbolic gift from their departed relatives, as a reward for having been good during the year. An old custom that still tells a piece of the story of Catanese culture and pastry-making today.
Shelf life: approx. 30 days in the vacuum pack.
