What is pAssaggi?
In June 2021, after the difficult lockdown period, the Lo Faro family wanted to bring new energy to the centre of Mascalucia with the first pAssaggi biennale, giving space and a voice to talented artists. The “PAssaggi” project, conceived by Giuseppe A. Lo Faro, was born from the wish to combine the simple, convivial everyday life of a bar with the healing power of art. The name “PAssaggi” evokes the continuous flow of life, marked by coffees, smiles and small everyday tastes (“assaggi”). Everyone who passes through Ottagono becomes an unwitting protagonist of this experience, encouraged to reflect, to be moved and to share thoughts with those they meet along their own “passage”.
In 2025, the second PAssaggi biennale will feature eight outstanding photographers whose works will wrap us in a warm visual embrace:
